“Why is year-end giving important?”
This question came to my mind as I was reflecting on this year. Though it may seem early, around this time of year, we begin planning for the next school year. The donations we receive at the end of this year provide a good indication of where we are financially. These funds affect our plans for hiring staff, admitting students, offering certain grade levels, and providing enrichment and academic programs to our students. Your gift puts us in a strong place as we go into the 2016-2017 school year. All gifts to MCCS are fully tax-deductible.
We thank you for your generous support of this ministry!

Through a partnership with the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), we now are offering a weekly Art class to all our students. Architecture students from MICA are teaching our students different aspects of design, drafting and collaborative project design. Each classroom will produce a group project that will culminate in an art show at the end of the school year. We are overjoyed that our students have this opportunity to express themselves in creative and positive ways. There is so little recreation or positive outlets for students in our community. This class serves as art instruction and a creative outlet for our students to express their artistic talents.
