MCCS Alumna Encourages Students

During our last chapel of the year, Krystal, an MCCS alumna shared her testimony about living in the neighborhood and how she experienced God through MCCS, her teachers and through attending Wilkens Avenue Mennonite Church.

Krystal brought a message of hope and encouragement, exhorting students to trust in God and believe that He has a plan for their lives. She assured them of God’s love for them, even in difficult circumstances, and shared about how God led her to be adopted and to enroll in a Christian college. Krystal is a student at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tennessee.

We praise God for the impact that our school made in Krystal’s life, and that she returned to Baltimore to make an impact in the lives of our current students!

Thanks to our volunteers!

In October and November, young adults from Hope Chapel volunteered to provide FREE Arts Workshops for MCCS students and children from Mt. Clare. Our students learned skills in crocheting, drawing self-portraits, mirror (symmetry) art, and painting. This group provided all the arts materials for the workshop and provided instruction. They also came in on a different Saturday to clean our entire school! Thank you Sharon, Uesin, David, Katherine, Tiffany, Stella, Youjin, Grace, and others!
