With Many Thanks!

Thank you to the Mosaic Church for organizing volunteer groups to perform work projects for our school including: painting the hallways, cleaning our building, and building
us an entirely new fence!

Thank you to Cherry Glade Mennonite Church, Paul and Sarah Szatmary and Sandy Costigan and Raven Roost 68 for providing school supplies for us!

Thank you to MCCS parent, Cierra Sanford for the beautiful centerpiece for our Thanksgiving Meal.

Thank you to Jason Burkholder for programming several donated computers to give out to MCCS families who requested one.

Thank you to several anonymous donors who gave significant financial donations to our school in honor of cherished loved ones who passed away. May the Lord bring you great comfort in this holiday season.

My Favorite Verse

Last week, as Ms. Gwen was subbing in the Elementary Classroom, she worked with dec2016newsletter2Matthew as he wrote a verse he memorized for one of his tests. Afterward, Matthew remarked, “That is one of my favorite verses!” The verse was 1 Corinthians 15:58 “May you be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.”

Many of our students grow up in communities that are unstable and transient. Our students need to know that God can bring peace, stability, and purpose to their lives. We have seen the impact of Christ in Matthew’s life. He has grown tremendously in his love for God and others over the years he has been a student here at Mt. Clare. He frequently asks to pray for his peers and for his teachers. When asked why he likes being a student at Mt. Clare, Matthew responded, “I like my teachers, my friends, and I like learning about God!”

Our school is a spiritual lifeline for this student and his family. Thank you for making this ministry possible for students who would have grown up without a community of Christians to support, encourage and pray for them.
