We Say Goodbye

At the end of this school year, three of our teachers are leaving us to pursue the next season of their lives.

DebbieDebbie (Ricketts) Jordan is moving to Columbia, MD with her husband, Mark Jordan, and seeking to invest more deeply in their church community.

IMG_9398Jason Burkholder will continue his college education to pursue a career in the sciences.

KimberlyKimberly Shoats is moving back to Prince George’s County to work as an intern for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Bowie State University and work in childcare.

We praise the Lord for their faithful service to our students and to our community. We want to thank each teacher for their devotion to the Lord and for providing a loving, Christ-Centered environment in each of their classrooms. They will be deeply missed!

Graduation 2015

2 Timothy 4:7- “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

IMG_20150613_153705618This June, we celebrated the graduation of two of our seniors, Hannah Martin and Rachel Stein!   This graduation was especially poignant for me as this is my first class of graduating seniors as principal of Mt. Clare. Hannah and Rachel graduated from Mt. Clare on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 3 PM.

Both Rachel and Hannah worked hard to complete their program requirements while balancing working part-time (Rachel) and leading a Children’s ministry for Wilkens Avenue Mennonite Church (Hannah). I appreciate the way both ladies invested their time in younger students, modeled good citizenship, compassion and care for their peers. They both volunteered and served the school in various ways throughout their time at Mt. Clare.

We pray that they will experience joy and more of God’s presence in their future endeavors!
